BLOG 5: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

 Wow what a great topic, I could write 1 full article but as a summary I would like it to be added to the dance curriculum: flexibility and concrete experience on stage, because in truth I danced very little outside the classroom in relation to the 5 years the race lasts. Regarding the teaching methods, I admire them for the kindness they propose despite the precarious infrastructure of the dance department, which could improve a lot, for example, having more classrooms, adequate cleaning for use, I remember that one year many Students we got plantar warts that hurt and interrupted practical learning, I would also add sound and lighting systems and the teaching of their correct use. I take this opportunity to tell you that the curricular program is open to changes since 2014, I entered 2015 so I suppose my generation experienced the first improvements and also the first disappointments.

I would propose changes to the information that is disseminated before entering the career.It seems important that the students know clearly that the career ends with the specialization and that if you do not do the specialization in the formal field, the university considers that you dropped out of studies , also that the teacher specialization is not equivalent to a pedagogy, that the labor field is very limited and that you rather get informal jobs as an artist, that the world of art outside of academia is frustrating, at least in Chile where policies public benefactors of art are rare
